To Proxy or Not To Proxy

Today I finally finished meeting the five other room mates. They are all interesting C- guys. Two from the states one from Taiwan, Australia, and Hubie Province. The austrailian's brother and wife just left so last night I slept on the couch. I would really like to live heree with these guys but for convenience sake I might live closer to the embassy.

I saw the new U.S. embassy today and I was very exited that I will be walking in there soon as part of it. Over breakfast I had the opportunity to hear the catch up of two business partners planing what to do for the future of their company. It sounds like if they just keep going the coarse they will have no problem finding students for their programs they have organized.

My internet has been blocked but the buy from Duke hooked me up for tonight with a Proxy so I can write this. Face book is also blocked but if you have my e-mail both of those work.

I am exited to start my studies and internship next week.

Prep

Packing the bags full of old Chinese books that I had studied
once reminded me of howmany months and years I have spent
learning Chinese. Sitting in Inchen Soul, Korea's International
Airport the sun begins to rise after the long night in the airplane.
I am starting to go through the list of to do's in my mind once I
get to BeiJing.

1) Find where I will be living.
2) Go to the schools I might attend.
3) Write my required Intern information for Wheaton.
4) Eat some noodles :)
5) Move in?

I want to thank all who are thinking of me as I am not in the
United States. Your thoughts are the most important way you
can remember me. I sometimes feel like I am out of my
league. This helps me focus. I am exited though as I get to
experience and explain the joy of walking out of one's league.

I am not even in China yet and I have met a man who has his
own pharmaceutical company and has lots of connections
with elite Chinese Doctors. He explained to me as we waited
in the terminal of LAX how no matter how good friends he
was with any doctor in Beijing he did not want to be treated
by them. This is because he knew their life style of drinking
after work. There were some he added who did not drink but
he did not want to seal these stable doctors from patients who
needed them.

This reminded me of a conversation I had with someone about
Chinese Business men just a week ago. I was talking with a
person who owned their own company. He described Chinese
Business men as loving to play games at meetings. I
mentioned this to the pharmaceutical owner and he confirmed
that the doctors were the same. They just wanted to be able to
kids.

Well my plane is boarding Got to Go!
